Gruesome Details About the Career-Ending Accident of John Cena’s Police Officer Brother, Who Almost Lost His Life While Returning From Duty

Today, we will venture in a new direction. We will dive deep and present to you an incident from almost 16 years ago. The incident is not about ‘The Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect Soldier’, but his younger brother, Dan Cena, who almost lost his life in a road accident.
A drunk driver almost cost John Cena’s brother his life
Born to John Felix Anthony Cena Sr., and Carol Cena, Dan Cena, 44, is a police sergeant in the United States. He began his journey in the police department in 1998 when he was 19 years old. In 2007, he became a victim of a life-threatening road accident.
According to Sportsdave, during the time of the accident, he served as a patrol officer in the Newbury Police Department. Following a Super Bowl Sunday in February 2007, he was returning from his duty. That is when a drunk driver, named Robert Nolan, clashed with his vehicle on the road and almost took his life.
The accident resulted in many fractures in his body. His left tibia and fibula bones were completely broken. Fortunately, a comrade, Officer Steve Jenkins, was there to save him. He was immediately taken to Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport.
His injuries were very severe, thus he had to undergo multiple surgeries. Because of the injury, he had to miss significant time from the force. After his return to the police force in June 2008, the department promoted him to sergeant position in the West Newbury Police Department.
It was a very rough time for him and his family member. But the past is in the past. Now, he is happy and healthy.
