Emilia Clarke is asking us to stop bleaching our hair
In an interview, the actress talked about beauty care and hair health, among other things, in addition to her upcoming Marvel role. There are few hairstyles more instantly recognizable than Emilia Clarke ‘s Queen Daenerys Targaryen on Game of Thrones . However, Clarke warns against bleaching your hair.
“My advice to anyone who wants to bleach their hair is not to; it will ruin your hair so stop bleaching it. If you want blonde hair, just get a wig or give your hair some highlights because it totally ruined my hair”Clarke said in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar .
Luckily, Clarke is no novice when it comes to beauty, having been a Clinique ambassador for years. That left her with an arsenal of experts on how to restore her hair’s integrity—just in time for another makeover for her first role in the Marvel Universe.
In the interview, the actress also talked about her beauty routine, including how she tries to wear sunscreen every day, regardless of the season.
” When it gets really hot, I wear less makeup. Bare skin always looks best. My makeup and makeup routine is low-key on a day-to-day basis, but when I do go out, I go for something fun, like a great eye color or a really bold lip color. It’s less about the skin and more about highlighting certain features. ”
Regarding bleaching her hair, Clarke talked about how her hair was like straw and falling out during Game of Thrones filming.
“Then I cut it all off. I’m most proud of my hair. Now I don’t do anything crazy with it and use really nice products. Sometimes they add a little lighter color to my hair and I love that. I love Virtue, I swear by their shampoo, hair mask and root lifter. I also have a Dyson hair dryer. I try really hard to take care of him. But after bleaching my hair, I’m learning to accept my natural hair.”
